NO.
In past presidential elections, it might have been a deal-killer. But in 2008, it apparently makes for endearing campaign rhetoric.
Candidate Barack Obama has put himself “on record” praising the communist government of China, suggesting that the United States should aspire to do as the communists do, and “invest” in our “infrastructure,” the way the Chinese government has done in Beijing.
While at a campaign stop in Chester, Virginia, in a moment of off-the-cuff spontaneity, Obama stated “everybody’s watching what’s going on in Beijing right now and the Olympics. Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are all vastly superior to us now, which means if you’re a corporation deciding where to do business, you’re starting to think, Beijing looks like a pretty good option.”
When I first saw the video, it struck me that I’ve never before heard a presidential candidate - - not even another Democratic presidential candidate - - praise a communist government. In fact, I don’t think this has ever happened before in my lifetime.
Read the whole thing. Obama’s stupidity and the stupidity of people who are swallowing communist China’s propaganda campaign about how great they are - makes me want to puke. I heard one of the screeching Code Pink moonbats asking “what is WRONG with communism?” Why don’t you ask someone who has escaped from a communist country and find out?

If you want to know more about life under communism, send me some lines. Americans really don’t know much about them, and the U.S media never try to teach their own people what communism is like, that’s why we now have one stupid presidential candidate.

it’s just like with Cuba everyone says “well at least the people can read and write and the have health care”
this is true but why read it write if you don’t have free speech? The health care system sucks in Cuba.
On the other hand why can’t the USA have better infrastructure than China? Why can’t we have the best health care in the world and provide it for everyone? If any country could do this it SHOULD be the USA.
Unfortunately China IS competition and we must recognize that or they will surpass us and Communism will REALLY take hold…how scary is that?
We should quit crying about dems and start building this country up like never before.
Fiber Optics would be a good start…
