Absolutely nothing in these messages you cite is threatening or out of the ordinary. It sounds like Ann can dish it out but can’t take it. When you carelessly throw racial slurs around and call John Edwards a “faggot” for no apparent reason, you’re naturally going to accumulate a large number of people who don’t like you. Most political commentators routinely get letters much nastier than this.
If you think this is bad, I dare you to do a little experiment. Write a letter to the editor in your local newspaper saying that you believe the separation of church and state is a good thing and that it is wrong to discriminate against homosexuals. You’ll get much nastier and more threatening letters than this, trust me. Or better yet, write a letter to the editor saying that atheism is good. You’ll see how brotherly and loving some of your Christian neighbors truly are.
