I understand the comparison to the eurozone but none of the countries belonging to the European Union are communist. Mind you I am not supporting the idea of an American Union. We don't need it and there is too much disparity between the economies of the proposed players. Big business that thrives off globalization would probably not agree with me. I just can't help but think you threw in that "communism" as a way to whip up fear and taint the mindset of the reader before he/she has had the opportunity to weigh the proposal.
