Cracker’s Monthly “You’re an Idiot” Awards

Recipients of this award are those who, while pontificating either in writing or on the air, make Cracker point his finger at the media tool (radio, newspaper, TV, etc…) and yell, “YOU’RE AN IDIOT! GBlagg is the record holder with 44 monthly wins in a row. Who’s next?

Al Franken: While talking to his Ditto Head friend Mark, Franken claimed that these innocent people were being held for no reason, without representation and should therefore be released. Mark countered that close to 200 had been released and that at least 12 of those released had been recaptured on the battlefield. Franken, becoming upset and whining like a little girl, then screamed, “Well I haven’t heard that, but if they are going back to the battlefield, WHY ARE WE RELEASING THEM!?”

To that Mr. Franken, “You’re an IDIOT.”

Dick Durbin: Honestly, do I need to say anymore?

Mr. Durbin, “You’re an Idiot.”

Jerry Springer: Springer stated the U.S. had no right to inspect other country’s nuclear weapon’s facilities because the U.S. did not allow inspections. He also claimed that if the U.S. took the lead in nuclear disarmament and reduced its stockpiles, Russia would surely follow and reduce their stockpiles.

Mr. Springer, “You are and IDIOT.”

Main Stream Media: Without so much as a passing glance at Durbin’s remarks FROM THE SENATE FLOOR on how are military personnel are the same as Nazis and the other dregs of humanity until he apologized, Karl Rove made the front page and first story on every main stream media outlet for telling the truth.

Main Stream Media, “You’re all idiots.”

To the 5 Supreme Court Justices that voted to take our private property: “You’re idiots!”

The guy on Neal Boortz: There was a caller to the Neal Boortz show who claimed the U.S. was not spending tax money to pay for things because we were using DEFICIT SPENDING. I’m sure he tells his bank, “I can’t be out of money, I still have checks!”

Sir, “You’re an idiot!”

People against Social Security private accounts: For those that do not want an account and control of their own money and believe and trust the government to take care of it…”YOU’RE IDIOTS!”

To those who believe if everyone had health insurance the cost of health care would go down…first of all, do you understand the cost of health care must and will be paid someway, somehow by somebody? If you really believe you will avoid paying that cost…”You’re idiots!”

Please feel free to add your own list of idiots.

Securing America

I agreed with President Bush last night when he stated that we must, and therefore we will “stay the course” in Iraq. I find that the number of Americans who are “tired of the war” typical of too many Americans, and problematic. While we remain a nation of warriors, too many Americans lack the patience to address long term problems and we have to remember, President Bush told us in 2001 that the war on terror would require a long term commitment to ultimate victory. He spoke truthfully then — were we not listening?

No one should revel in the fact that our country is engaged in a war for its own survival, but we should not be tuning out reality either. Sadly, America’s lethargy about the war on terror is not surprising, as we tend to shut out those things that cause us stress. Perhaps our citizens have too many things going on in their lives at the same time, with a finite number of hours in a day. Maybe it is a combination of many factors and there is no one reason for our lassitude. Whatever the reason, we need to shake it off because only a fool does not realize that we are living in a very dangerous time.

Yes, there is the problem with our war in Iraq. It will be a while before the Iraqis are fully capable of dealing with the insurgency of terrorists. These people are dedicated to Iraq’s failure, and because of our involvement, defeating America’s effort to democratize the region. But there are other problems, too — and this is where I have a fundamental disagreement with our President. Our borders are not secure, and our bureaucratic systems are lacking. Americans are in grave danger and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Not the administration, not the democrats in Congress, not state and local officials, and certainly not John Q. Citizen who is going about his daily business as if there is no danger. It makes me wonder if we are not “over medicated” in this country. Clearly, most people believe that our borders should be secure from illegal entry, but there is no national insistence that the work get done.

Of course, not everyone agrees that our borders should be protected at all, but those who argue for an open border represent organizations that have their own peculiar agenda. Of those who demand (although not too loudly) a secure border, there are essentially two camps: One group worries about our security in light of terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001, and the other group voices concern over the economic implications of illegal immigration. I want to hold off on the economic implications for just a moment . . .

I have had a number of conversations with close friends on the subject of immigration gener¬ally, and on the issue of securing our nation from those who would do our people harm. Even those who support President Bush seem to disagree with his view that people coming here illegally, no matter the point of their origin, are simply looking for work. As evidenced by the amount of attention this issue is getting nationally, immigration problems are not restricted to border-states. People throughout the entire country seem genuinely angry that our government lacks the will, or the resources, to halt the influx of people who come here illegally. They should be angry, but in spite of that, our government is not doing enough.

The issue of illegal immigration generates emotional rather than thoughtful debates among the so-called talking heads of our national media. Screeching at one another on national television does not bring to the table thoughtful discussion or reasonable solutions to the problem—it only causes people to change the channel or turn off the television. In the first place, most people do not understand the implications of illegal immigration, including politicians whose job it is to frame laws, and provide funding for the enforcement of those laws, and the media who with few exceptions, seek to either sensationalize the problem, or ignore it completely.

The task of problem-resolution appears to fall into three stages: (1) Determine the true affect of illegal immigration, (2) Discover solutions that everyone can agree with, and (3) Implement programs that do not demean people of other ethnic groups or nationalities.

For now, let’s forget the half-baked idea that the United States should employ military forces along our borders; current statutes prohibit military units from engaging in civil law enforcement activities. Would an increase in the number of law enforcement officers improve efforts to control our border and protect the American people? Probably. But a more creative approach would be increase law enforcement personnel while at the same time forming volunteer coalitions of citizens to help. President Bush is opposed to these groups; he calls them “vigilantes.” They are not, and it is not correct to call them that. The Minutemen could work in cooperation with, and under the supervision of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies — and for free. What is wrong with that concept?

Americans are harmed by “illegals” who perpetrate crimes against persons and property in the United States and the distinction between criminals and terrorists is beginning to merge because “criminals” are now engaging in activities to smuggle in terrorists. One recent news report indicated that terrorists have a plan to kill Americans through our food supply — and we need to ask ourselves, is doing nothing to protect our borders worth the cost of our children’s safety? Would a poisoned food supply equate to a “weapon of mass destruction?” You betcha.

Turning briefly to the economic issue, there are good arguments that illegal immigrants pose a significant economic danger to the United States. A source of information and discussion on this topic can be found at the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). Among a wide range of issues, FAIR provides specific economic information relative to illegal immigration, breaking those costs down state-by-state. One might conclude, based on the data provided by FAIR that the costs of doing a poor job in protecting America’s borders far outweigh the costs of hiring more law enforcement, border patrol officers, or the purchase of high-tech equipment that could be used by volunteers.

Until citizens are fully informed about the ramifications of doing nothing, Americans cannot approach the three-step mentioned above to resolve this problem. It is time for all Americans to begin demanding real solutions to our border security problems — and common sense demands more, not less citizen involvement.

This is going to be another rant (I feel the necessity of them more and more often listening to and reading the MSM - perhaps some bourbon will help).

But first, beloved readers, I want to state very clearly that this rant is directed at Moonbats in general, and not necessarily at the left, many of whom are articulate expounders of their point of view. Some who comment on this blog, my friend Jim Hitchcock comes to mind, has always been polite and for the most part, reasonable. There are others of the left that have not been. I don’t “ban” them because I do believe in free speech with a few exceptions on my blog explained here:Rules On Commenting. Having said all the above, don’t get offended (well, OK, you can if you wish, but only if the shoe fits - if it doesn’t fit, this was not aimed at you).

//Begin Rant//
The left is all a-twitter over the President’s speech, still calls from the moonbats to shut down gitmo, still claiming the Prez said Saddam was linked to 9/11. What the heck is the matter with these people. In the Washington Times there is an editorial by one James H. Warner who spent over 5 years in a North Vietnamese POW camp. His story tells of torture, his story tells Dandy Dick Durbin what a real concentration camp is like:

“On the first of June [1969…ed.], I was put in a cement box with a steel door, which sat out in the tropical summer sun. There, I was put in leg irons which were then wired to a small stool. In this position I could neither sit nor stand comfortably. Within 10 days, every muscle in my body was in pain (here began a shoulder injury which is now inoperable). The heat was almost beyond bearing. My feet had swollen, literally, to the size of footballs. I cannot describe the pain. When they took the leg irons off, they had to actually dig them out of the swollen flesh. It was five days before I could walk, because the weight of the leg irons on my Achilles tendons had paralyzed them and hamstrung me. I stayed in the box from June 1 until Nov. 10, 1969. While in the box, I lost at least 30 pounds. I would be curious to hear Mr. Durbin explain how this compares with having a female invade my private space, and whether a box in which the heat nearly killed me is the same as turning up the air conditioning.”

Did you get that Dick? FIVE friggin months in that box… FIVE, Count them you sorry excuse for a US Senator 1..2..3..4..5. Has ANYONE at Gitmo had a comparable experience? Even ONE? Your sorry excuse for an apology needs to become REAL, no wonder the American people don’t trust most Democrats in national elections. Hey Dick, whatcha gonna do when the good people of Ill. retire you?

Warner finishes his column with:

“The argument that detainees at Guantanamo are being treated badly is specious and silly. In the eyes of normal Americans, Democrats believe this argument because, as Jeanne Kirkpatrick said 20 years ago, they “always blame America first.” This contributes to the increasing suspicion, in red states, a problem that Democrats are aware of and are trying to counter, that Democrats cannot be trusted with our national security. Only the Democrats can change this perception, most recently articulated by White House adviser Karl Rove. The ball is in their court and I am certain there are steps that they can take to change this perception, but making silly arguments about imaginary bad treatment of enemy detainees is not a move in the right direction.”

Oh, but no, I’m not done… The moonbats demand an exit strategy. Right in the middle of a war. That’ll show the islamofascists how long they have to hang on won’t it? I discussed that below. The islamofascists are just salivating at the idea that we may give them an expected date of victory. No chance folks, the President said, and I quote:

“The terrorists do not understand America. The American people do not falter under threat, and we will not allow our future to be determined by car bombers and assassins.

America and our friends are in a conflict that demands much of us.

We accept these burdens because we know what is at stake.

We fight today because Iraq now carries the hope of freedom in a vital region of the world, and the rise of democracy will be the ultimate triumph over radicalism and terror.

And we fight today because terrorists want to attack our country and kill our citizens, and Iraq is where they are making their stand.

So we’ll fight them there, we’ll fight them across the world, and we will stay in the fight until the fight is won.

America has done difficult work before. From our desperate fight for independence to the darkest days of a civil war to the hard-fought battles against tyranny in the 20th century, there were many chances to lose our heart, our nerve or our way.

But Americans have always held firm, because we have always believed in certain truths. We know that if evil is not confronted, it gains in strength and audacity and returns to strike us again. We know that when the work is hard, the proper response is not retreat, it is courage. And we know that this great ideal of human freedom entrusted to us in a special way and that the ideal of liberty is worth defending.”

Those that demand a timetable for withdrawal are either too naive to understand who is our enemy, or too stupid to understand that we must win this war. And, I can hear it now…”Then why don’t you join up Roper, you were in the Army.” Hey, I tried, I was in Berlin on 9/11 and as soon as I got home I called and offered my services…too old they said. Well, I’m not too old to tell you what I think and to stand up for what I believe in.

Still not done.

I’m sick of the complaints that Bush mislead the country and that the Downing Street Memos “PROVE” that. Well, according to Tony Blair (Oh, you know Tony don’t you? He’s the Prime Minister of England - The guy that LIVES at 10 Downing Street) According to the AP:

“LONDON - British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Wednesday the “Downing Street memos” paint a distorted picture, and he insisted that the Iraq war was not predetermined by the United States.

“People say the decision was already taken. The decision was not already taken,” he said in an exclusive interview with The Associated Press.

Blair added he was “a bit astonished” at the intensive U.S. media coverage about the leaked memos, which suggested the White House viewed the war with Iraq as inevitable.

One last thing. I’m also sick of those who say that Saddam had no linkage to terrorists and/or Al Qaeda. the following are reproductions of PDF files.

Iran: The Barbarism of Shari’ah Law

The Islamic dystopia that the entire world appears to be copacetic with procuring nukes, shows yet again how backward and inhuman its medieval theocratic regime is. Iranian court orders man to be blinded (salute to Bruce T.)

An Iranian court has sentenced a man to have his eyes surgically removed for a crime he committed as a teenager 12 years ago. Amnesty International has condemned the sentence, reported in the Iranian daily Etemaad, but local human rights groups say these unusual punishments are hardly ever executed. …

Etemaad says the accused, identified only as Vahid, was 16 when he threw a bottle of acid at another man during a fight in a vegetable market in 1993. The top opened - Vahid insists accidentally - and blinded his victim in both eyes. A court said the crime should be judged as qisas, a category for which the Koran stipulates specific punishments, in this case an eye for an eye. The paper said the sentence was to pour acid on Vahid’s eyes, but an appeals court ruled it should be done surgically so as not to harm other parts of his face. Amnesty described the sentence as “cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment amounting to torture”. It called for a change of sentence.

Human rights and legal specialists in Iran say unusual sentences are sometimes passed by Islamic courts, which are bound by rigid Koran injunctions for certain crimes.

Yeah, that Qur’an… It’s just chock full of wholesome goodness—and interpreted literally since the seventh century, Alhamdulilah! Once the mullocracy gets nukes, I think this little Qur’anic gem might be worth bearing in mind when considering our Israeli friends in the little Satan:

And He drove down those of the people of the Book (Jews) who backed them from their fortresses and He cast terror into their hearts; some you killed and you took captive another part. And He caused you to inherit their land and their houses and their wealth, and land you have not walked upon. And Allah has power over all things. —Qur’an, 33.26

In The Global War On Terror Time Is Telling

patriot.jpgThe last Islamic terrorist action on American soil was 9-11-2001. Taking the fight to the enemy has and still does prevent casualties on our own shores. It has been said many times since 9-11 that time will tell if Iraq was the right war at the right place at the right time. This has been a “wait and see” scenario for many Americans. It has been two long years since we invaded Iraq and it is time to make an assessment.

Do we have bombed out buildings on the streets of America? Are we afraid of large groups for fear we might be attacked? Are we afraid to fly for fear of terrorists? No, we are no longer afraid. Air travel is pushing ever onward. America is going about its business.

Keep on saying Iraq was a bad plan. Protest the war and believe the price the servicemen and women are paying is in vain. Complain about how the rice pilaf in Gitmo is so cold as to be torturous. Remember your freedom from terror when your wife goes out in a bikini instead of a burkha. Time is telling the tale.

What you see on the television every day has to do with another improvised explosive device and another soldier dead. They are not dying in vain. They are dying to keep terror away from home. They are doing an incredible job. We should be proud of how well they are doing, not calling it an unwinable quagmire. We have been winning since war was declared.

So why do we not hear it on the radio and read it in the newspapers? Why aren’t people making announcements that we are safer than we were two years ago? Quite frankly it’s because a lack of story tends to wind up as no story at all. Would you listen to a news report stating that JFK International Airport still hasn’t been bombed? Probably not. It’s easier to look at the active than the passive. Only time is telling the tale.

Something else that was queued up as potentially the “bankruptcy of America” was the national debt and the economy. Our economy plummeted and national debt skyrocketed after 9-11. We were disparaging a very horrible catastrophe and hit rock bottom. Many people felt that we were going to fall into some sort of pit of oblivion. People thought we were going to lose this great nation.

Here we sit, nearly four years later. The jobless rate is at the best it has been since George W. Bush took office in 2000. Although the stock market has not reached the levels it had during the tech boom this is nowhere close to a bear market. We have slowly pulled our economic selves together over time. The best part is when you grow the economy over time there is no inflation. Have you seen any inflation? Neither have I. (Except at the pumps, but that’s a different matter.) Time has again told the tale.

Our national debt is still high but is no longer growing. It has stabilized and may even begin to fall, as the economy grows. Since we have the added costs of the war on terrorism it should be blatantly obvious that the slowdown has come from increased tax revenues by reducing the overall taxes. I’ve explained it before and no one, particularly the liberals out there, believed me when the law of diminishing returns is explained in a tax example. We are now closer to our tax equilibrium point and therefore able to collect more in total tax revenue. Time is providing the economic proof.

Remember these words the next time a short-sited senator, congressman or other individual claims we’re in an unwinable war. Reflect on our long realized accomplishments the next time someone erupts about our horrible quagmire in Iraq. Know in your heart that we are winning, and have been winning for nearly four years now. Know that time has told the tale, and nothing else.

Justice David Souter’s NH Home to Become “Takings”?

Could it be possibly true? In the wake of the Kalo decision last week, could the Towne of Weare, New Hampshire, seek to commence an application process requesting that a hotel be built on the same property where Supreme Court Justice David Souter’s home now resides?

Here is the text of the press release from FreeStar Media, LLC:

For Release Monday, June 27 to New Hampshire media
For Release Tuesday, June 28 to all other media

Weare, New Hampshire (PRWEB) Could a hotel be built on the land owned by Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter? A new ruling by the Supreme Court which was supported by Justice Souter himself itself might allow it. A private developer is seeking to use this very law to build a hotel on Souter’s land.

Justice Souter’s vote in the “Kelo vs. City of New London” decision allows city governments to take land from one private owner and give it to another if the government will generate greater tax revenue or other economic benefits when the land is developed by the new owner.

On Monday June 27, Logan Darrow Clements, faxed a request to Chip Meany the code enforcement officer of the Towne of Weare, New Hampshire seeking to start the application process to build a hotel on 34 Cilley Hill Road. This is the present location of Mr. Souter’s home.

Clements, CEO of Freestar Media, LLC, points out that the City of Weare will certainly gain greater tax revenue and economic benefits with a hotel on 34 Cilley Hill Road than allowing Mr. Souter to own the land.

The proposed development, called “The Lost Liberty Hotel” will feature the “Just Desserts Café” and include a museum, open to the public, featuring a permanent exhibit on the loss of freedom in America. Instead of a Gideon’s Bible each guest will receive a free copy of Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged.”

Clements indicated that the hotel must be built on this particular piece of land because it is a unique site being the home of someone largely responsible for destroying property rights for all Americans.

“This is not a prank” said Clements, “The Towne of Weare has five people on the Board of Selectmen. If three of them vote to use the power of eminent domain to take this land from Mr. Souter we can begin our hotel development.”

Clements’ plan is to raise investment capital from wealthy pro-liberty investors and draw up architectural plans. These plans would then be used to raise investment capital for the project. Clements hopes that regular customers of the hotel might include supporters of the Institute For Justice and participants in the Free State Project among others.

I foresaw something along these eminent domain lines a few days ago, in a humorous vein. Is life imitating comedy?

This is just creepy….

Apparently our friends from the land down under are reporting on some technology that belongs more in a movie like this:

than in the real world. But the medical breakthroughs that they are discovering are indeed promising when it comes to treating the severely injured.

SCIENTISTS have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in attempts to develop suspended animation for humans.

US scientists have succeeded in reviving the dogs after three hours of clinical death, paving the way for trials on humans within years.
Pittsburgh’s Safar Centre for Resuscitation Research has developed a technique in which subject’s veins are drained of blood and filled with an ice-cold salt solution.

The animals are considered scientifically dead, as they stop breathing and have no heartbeat or brain activity.

But three hours later, their blood is replaced and the zombie dogs are brought back to life with an electric shock.

Seriously. Creepy. Maybe if they didn’t refer to them as “zombie” dogs then I wouldn’t imagine dogs like these

However rather than sending people to sleep for years, then bringing them back to life to benefit from medical advances, the boffins would be happy to keep people in this state for just a few hours,

But even this should be enough to save lives such as battlefield casualties and victims of stabbings or gunshot wounds, who have suffered huge blood loss.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. And the implications of this could be far reaching. Not only for the short term effects but for those possibly suffering from longer lasting terminal effects. Have a problem with an incurable disease. We’ll just freeze you until a cure is found. Yeah, yeah, I know. Cryogenics and all of those wacky rich and famous people who paid ridiculous sums of money to have their heads frozen were off their rockers. After all, wouldn’t you get some sort of mental freezer burn and come out a literal “vegetable”. Maybe not….

Although the animals are clinically dead, their tissues and organs are perfectly preserved.

Tests show they are perfectly normal, with no brain damage

Resistance Growing to Ground Zero Desecration

More than a few relatives of 9/11 victims are outraged and disgusted by plans to build an “International Freedom Center museum” featuring anti-American propaganda at Ground Zero.

“I have no remains of my husband, and to me that’s sacred ground,” Rachel O’Brien was quoted by AP. Her husband Michael worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. “That’s the last place he was, and I think that the whole area should be all about what happened on that day.”

“I don’t think that there should be anything else there but a memorial to those people,” said Edmund Caviasco, whose daughter Jean De Palma died at the WTC.

Of course, there are those who disagree.

“9-11 should not be something you treat with kid gloves,” said Fareed Zakaria, editor of Newsweek International — who is a principal adviser to the museum. “It should be something you debate, that you talk about, that we explore, that we use as a way to think about our position in the world.”

Here’s what Newsweek International thinks of our position in the world:

newsweek1.jpg

Zakaria is hardly the only representative of the far left involved in this “Freedom Center” abomination. The main instigator, Hollywood financier Tom Bernstein, has been president for Human Rights First for 12 years. This organization has actually sued our Secretary of Defense on behalf of terrorists.

If you agree that allowing people of this ilk to take over Ground Zero is absolutely unthinkable, head over to Take Back the Memorial and sign this petition:

To Governor George Pataki, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation:

We, the undersigned, believe that the World Trade Center Memorial should stand as a solemn remembrance of those who died on September 11th, 2001, and not as a journey of history’s “failures” or as a debate about domestic and foreign policy in the post-9/11 world. Political discussions have no place at the World Trade Center September 11th memorial, and the International Freedom Center honors no one by making excuses for the perpetrators of this heinous crime. The memorial should be about what happened that day, about the brave heroes who risked their lives so selflessly, and about the innocent lives that were lost… nothing more.

Dhimmitude and the World…or how W. and the ‘right-wing-bible-thumping-gun-totin’-rednecks’ are gonna save your ass!

(This is an old post of mine that is very timely still)
Do you know what the definition of ‘dhimmitude’ is? No? Read on, but you will have to follow the links to learn.

In a comment to a post of mine, an extreme post, or so the commentor thought, I was accused of the same hatred that the islamic extremists harbor. Quite the contrary. I don’t harbor that hatred. In that post I was simply going to the logical conclusion of the liberals apparent wish that the U.S. pull out of Iraq. I never stated that I was simply following along to the liberals logical conclusion, nevertheless, that is where I ended up.
So I wish to take this time to clarify myself.
In continuing to read this post, and follow along with my thinking here, you, dear reader, are going to have to take some responsibility and click a couple of links and read.
If you don’t READ the pages that the links take you to, don’t bother posting a comment that you think has the slightest chance of swaying me in my stance. If you do follow the links and read the pages, and you still have a comment that doesn’t agree with my line of reasoning, THEN, and only then, may you feel free to post a comment. I truly believe that if you read these pages that you will come away believing what I have to say. If you don’t, I will probably lament either A) your public school education or B) your utter lack of reading comprehension.. To begin here are your links.

http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=couchgrouchRead the Sept. 18th post titled Eurabia Jihad Watch……then read:

http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=15877…when you finish with that read the next link, but I warn you it is a bit longer:

http://www.aei.org/news/newsID.19912,filter./news_detail.asp

Now, if you have read all of these links, feel free to post a comment regarding the following comments.
I don’t like war, but sometimes it is necessary…….I believe that the liberals, and anyone that disagrees with the fact that we are in Iraq is a fool…..I don’t care what the rest of the world thinks of us, as they don’t have our best interests at heart…..I think if we have to march the world over to eradicate radical islamic terrorists then that is what we should do…I believe in spreading the ideas of Freedom and Democracy…..yes, even through the use of force, for if Freedom and Democracy were able to thrive where we need apply force then, in a vicious circle, we wouldn’t have to apply the force…see the thinking here?….I know some of you may say I am engaging in circular thinking, and I don’t care…the bottom line is radical islamic regimes, and the terrorist they spawn, (and believe me, it is NOT us that spawn them), need to be destroyed…not negotiated with….not bargained with…not placated….but destroyed…..no treaties…..no quarter….no mercy….we are dealing with an enemy that uses fear, and the most evil of tactics, and they will give no quarter nor show mercy…it is their way or death…don’t believe me?…read the koran…..I know they say it is a religion of peace, and it can be….but these guys have taken it to an extreme that, if they had the power, would have made hitler and the holocaust look like a day in the park……imagine for one moment a world where extreme islamic rule is the law…..and if you think for one minute that they are not going to try that think again….you may not see that in your lifetime….but the day will come…people in the U.S. in the late 30’s believed hitler wasn’t a threat to the world……he was, and we stopped him…just like we will stop these extremists now….tolerance is not working in Europe….and in another 10 years when other countries are experiencing what the Dutch are going through now they will realize the folly of their current path…..so to all you ‘tolerant’ liberals out there that are afraid to offend someone if you speak out for what you believe in I say you need to believe in something besides tolerance….it isn’t working for europe, and it wouldn’t work here….just remember when it all comes to a head and you wake up and say we need to stop these guys before we lose our Freedom that is wasn’t you that saw it coming….but us that saved your ass.

Maybe all those fuddy-duddies just hate that gangsta’ rapper fly stylin’. More likely than that is the chance they’ve seen this video:

TMH, you did a Rightwing Nuthouse on me and I just about fell for it until the last sentence or two. Reminds me of Rick’s Friday posts with Marvin Moonbat and Chloe. Still, kind of a 1984 view we’re getting running along with you in that piece, heh? *shiver*

Mustang, I’ve been reading and re-reading this post. We posted at about the same time, but when I came back I had a little surprise under this one. It’s agreed that the immigration problem is a big one that isn’t really being addressed by this current administration. At the same time, we have NAFTA and the impending CAFTA legislation, which if passed (snuck under the wire because people think the debate on this over), would increase the illegal immigrants from countries such as El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. Labor from these countries is going to be even cheaper than Mexican labor, companies will move their manufacturing facilities to these countries INSTEAD of Mexico, and we’ll have even more of a problem than we do now from illegals crossing our borders.

It’s my belief that those initiatives are what is keeping the border issue open. It doesn’t make sense to NOT fight the war on terror from the borders, there has to be something else to it, and I believe that’s it.

AAB: Fox News On Target

Last evening’s Fox News report on American Gangs—Ties to Terror was a definite eye-opener this week. While the U. S. government fails miserably protecting our borders from illegal migration, American gang-members have learned that there is serious money to be made through the importation of illegal aliens, including Middle Eastern terrorists. But rather than welcoming the assistance of citizen groups, federal law enforcement officers are angry that civilians are meddling on “their turf.”

As we have seen in the case of the so-called “minute men” auxiliaries guarding our southern border, federal law enforcement, nor anyone in their chain of command (including the president) endorses the participation of citizens in the defense of the United States. One border patrol officer said, “They keep setting off our sensors, and then we have to respond by sending officers over to check it out.” Of course, this kind of problem can be resolved through inclusion and coordination. Meanwhile, our government continues its poor performance in protecting America from illegal immigrants.

Now why is this important? People who make their money by smuggling illegal immigrants into the United States are just as capable of smuggling weapons of mass destruction. It is not necessary for a WMD to be large, as most people think of size when imagining such weapons. In fact, nuclear devices, chemical, and biological weapons can be very small. This is worrisome when one considers the several hundred foreign truck drivers who are operating “hazardous material” vehicles on forged documents. So as I have said on more than one occasion, the question isn’t “what to do” in case the terrorists come here . . . they ARE here, and they are being aided and abetted by American punks who roam our streets in gangs.

It is appropriate for the government to welcome the participation of American volunteers. Our border is much too large to be efficiently monitored by federal law enforcement agents. Why not incorporate these “free” resources to help resolve this serious issue?

The situation is sufficiently serious to demand PROACTIVE vice reactive measures in our own defense. While there have been some successes against domestic terrorists — it hasn’t been more than a small dent in the overall problem. It is certain that the three or so million illegal immigrants who evaded our border patrol last year do present a problem, so I think there is plenty for us to be concerned about. Americans must DEMAND better from the government.

USA to SCOTUS: Be Careful What You Wish For

Washington DC: The uproar has not subsided around Capitol Hill, even now that the final razing of the building that once housed the Supreme Court of the United States is complete. The space that contained the once-proud facade on First St. NE will soon be developed as an extension of the Jefferson Building and the Library of Congress.

By now, the root cause of this once unfathomable occurrence has been written and commented on to exhaustion. The “Eminent Domain” issues espoused in the Supreme Court decision KELO V. NEW LONDON in 2005 had a chilling effect on Supreme Court membership at that time. Soon after the Kelo decision, the homes of then-Justices Stephens, Ginsburg, Souter, Bryer, and Kennedy were declared by their respecive local municipalities as having far more worth as “public use” lands. Development of Kool-Aid stands at those locations was completed in early 2007.

The mass resignations by these five justices following their losses in high court opened the way for new judicial appointments and a decidedly new tenor to the SCOTUS. The new court has been described as the first truly pragmatic and originalist court since the very early days of the republic.

Chief Justice Clarence Thomas’ now-famous opinion on the controversial U.S. CONGRESS V. U.S. SUPREME COURT (2009) case was viewed as the fruition of an earlier wake-up call in the wake of Kelo. For the unanimous decision, Justice Thomas condemned “the abject insolence and arrogance of a reckless, activist judiciary not just over the past two decades, but over the past century.” COTUS V. SCOTUS paved the way for demolition crews and relocation of the Supreme Court’s home. As current Justices Thomas, Scalia, Gonzales, Brown, Pickering, Mehlman, Ehrilch, Rove, and Bush moved into their new offices in the former AFL-CIO headquarters, the mood was generally upbeat. Justice Rove even joked to the junior Justice Bush that the new accommodations offered a much better view of the capitol. “Yes, a better view than George or I ever had from the white house,” replied Justice Bush.

President Michael Steele hailed the comity between the Supreme Court and Congress in what previous eras would probably have been seen as a nation-severing conflict between the branches of governmant. He cheered it as “a continued step in the healing of this great nation following the tragic half-term of President Hillary Rodham a few short years ago.”

Former President Rodham could not be reached for comment in her maximum security prison cell, location undisclosed. Without any further legal maneuvers, and without the support of the now-disbanded ACLU, her trial for treason is set for next year.

28 JUNE UPDATE: Life may be imitating art in New Hampshire, at Justice David Souter’s New England homestead.

Operation Infinite FReep!

Free Republic has been rallying in support of our President and the war effort since shortly after the terrorist attack on America on September 11, 2001. Later, as the inevitable war against Iraq drew closer, more and more of the “useful idiots” of the left began crawling out of the woodwork organizing so-called “anti-war” protests. FReepers are working to ensure that these communist organized (See: INTERNATIONAL A.N.S.W.E.R.) demonstrations do not go unanswered. Patriotic Americans are countering these misguided terrorist supporting leftist groups wherever and whenever they show up. Join or form a Free Republic Chapter, grab your signs, unfurl the flag, and prepare to support your country!

I believe this is part of an organized effort and what you’re looking for to respond to ANSWER’s anti-American anti-War efforts, Rick. I think Protest Warrior might have something planned, also. I’m also interested in knowing if Evan Coyne Maloney from Brain Terminal is planning on being there. I emailed both and I’m waiting to find out. if we can concentrate our efforts, we can make a huge difference.
