I have been posting to other blogs for well over a year now. I love the discussions and the transfer of ideas. It is what is great about this country, the free flow of ideas from one side to the other. You don’t have to agree with the other side, but it helps to listen.

Some of you might be wondering where I got Parrot Check from. Well, in military jargon, when pilot’s check in to their Command and Control assets, they ask for a “parrot check”. The C2 guys then check to make sure that the
aircrafts IFF (identify, friend or foe) system is showing them as friendly. Parrot is the term used for the transponder, because the transponder “squawks” a code.

As far as what I am going to talk about, heck, a little bit of everything. Some of my posts will be talking about the conflict in Iraq and the Global War on Terror (GWOT). It has been a major portion of my life as I have flown
as a C-130 pilot in the USAF into both theaters and seen alot. I have friends who have been killed by roadside bombs, and I have friends still over there fighting, so I care what happens. I will also talk about national
things as well as humorous things I stumble upon. Sometimes I will talk about nothing, but hey.

As for more of my personal beliefs… I am pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-democracy, and virulently anti-communist. I have seen the ravages of communism on former Soviet republics, so when I see protestors spouting all “great things” about communism, it turns my stomach. I hate coffee house communists who enjoy all the benefits of capitalism as they sip their Starbucks latte and then retire to the basement of their parent’s house to
plan the next workers revolution. But I digress…

Anyways, hope you that I am not too boring and something of what I say makes
sense.
