Oh, this is supposed to be about me isn’t it? Well, I was born in Germany in 1946 in Bayreuth, Germany. My dad was part of the constabulary, read occupation forces, and my mom was a soldier’s wife, born in Houston to a Methodist preacher. My early recollections of life are primarily of living in different places as dad was transferred from post to post and I grew up loving the moves, the military and all things about this great country of ours.
Being an Army Brat (and Damned Proud Of It Thank You Very Much) provided me with an education not often equaled by folks who are in civilian life, and later, joining the Army after college further rounded out my love of country and all it stands for.
Traveling around the world also helped me understand how fragile our liberties are, and how easily they can be taken for granted. Now I’m pushing past 60 and have been blogging for two years plus, sharing my thoughts with others, and receiving lots of interesting feedback as well. So, read my posts, think about what I’ve said and comment as you desire. Just remember, that Freedom really isn’t free, and if we are to maintain the freedoms that this great country has given us, we need to always strive to help others gain their freedoms as well.

I would shut them off to these bios but it throws the design out of whack to do that.

I just like looking at the pictures. Since there isn’t one, there’s nothing to say.

Cao, do you suppose my able writting partner Woody on GM’s Corner is just a “LITTLE” strange?
Here to look at pictures indeed!

Here’s your comment GM… Thanks for all you do and your service to this great country!
OK, was that worth waiting two years for?
