I just finished a book that I hope you will read: Warlord,by Ilario Pantano. He is a true American hero!!! It inspired me to write the Pentagon the following letter. My letter to the Pentagon: I am so angry and disgusted at how the Marines are being treated and charged in the Haditha incident. Why does the military throw it's young warriors into the trash in face of fears of the media and public opinion? You do this over and over again. I'm sick of it!!!! These young warriors volunteer and train and put their lives in harm's way for all of us, and you, their family, act as cowards and don't stick up for them when a PR situation arises. Cowards!!! Stand up for them!!!! We are at war!! It is no time for safe, at home JAG people who are not out in combat to act all sanctimonious and judgmental about decisions made in a life and death situation. I am sickened and ashamed of you all who have been, and continue to be, involved in destroying the lives of these young men. How dare you?!!!! I just finished Ilario Pantano's book and it shows the negligence of the JAG investigation that led us to lose a brilliant warrior in this time of desperate need for such men. He was finally found innocent. He should NEVER have had to go through what he did!!! I wish some of you fat cat, safe-in-the Pentagon types would go over and put your lives on the line with our troops before you cast them to the wolves. All JAG lawyers should have to do a combat tour to get some perspective. I am so proud of our troops! I love them and I honor them and I pray for them, while you political military hacks in Washington disgust me.
