I’m 37, male, and I’ve lived most of my life in rural England.

Politically, I’m in the odd (for an Englishman) position of feeling that the U.S. version of conservatism is something Britain desperately needs to learn from if our own conservative movement is to survive and take back power.

The things that interest and/or annoy me the most are:

Islamist extremism, which I think is a bigger threat than most people in Europe either want or are willing to admit.

The U.S. political right, which I think has an enormous amount to teach British conservatives.

Media bias, particularly in the BBC, which should be a national institution for the U.K., but is fast turning into a national disgrace.

The EU, which I think is the biggest threat to European freedom since the rise of fascism in the 1930’s.

Anti-Americanism, which is rife in Europe, and is clearly something I vehemently oppose.

3. Not much here interests me- save media bias and the BBC. I’m not anti-american, hell, Hollywood’s about to fund my lifestyle, but the BBC is renowned for its globalised UNBIASED news service. American networks are renowned for their INTERNAL and extremely biased news services. As an American born, Australian I can safely state that most of my US relatives, at one stage, couldn’t point to neither England or the entire CONTINENT of Australia on a world map. Interesting.
